So, I decided to make a blog to start putting myself up there and get people interested in my writing. Because aside from that, there is nothing else interesting in my life... Haha. But I will be here to talk about not only my writing, but a dash of life issues and political commentary.
Anyways, so let me tell you about this book I've been working on for the last (almost) two years:
Charade is a book about a hopelessly romantic super hero (Antonio Diaz Vega), a narcissistic super villain (John White) and a tenacious, yet conflicted woman (Felicity Black). It takes place in Haven Bay, a fictional Californian town, in 1999.
Felicity must choose whether to submit or overcome her feelings to do what is best for herself and the world, in a story that anyone who's ever been in love with the "wrong one" can relate to. It's like Romeo and Juliet, except the love was never mutual. Charade is a New Adult fiction heavy on Drama, with some Romance, Betrayal, Action and Violence stirred in. It's not your regular super hero story, but it's not your regular love story either.
Sure, it's bleak, and pessimistic on the concept of love, but, love doesn't always, and mostly doesn't , have a happy ending. All's a charade in love and war.
It does contain a graphic torture scene (at least, it makes me wince when I read it), and language some may find offensive. Other than that, I think it's a good read for anyone, but I'm biased of course. If that sounds like a good book to you though, like it on FaceBook by clicking the image or click the link below:
Charade - The Book
(There's also a short preview of the first chapter there!)
Now that the book is completed, and waiting around for an agent, publisher, or for me to find the money to publish it myself, I've started a new book, rather, book series, called "The Rogues of Jupiter", which I will post about in my next blog, promise!
Thanks for reading!
